Dear Buboers!

Happy new year! 2008 has been a great year for us, it has brought in 2.5 million users in only 12 months time, now BuboMe is available on 10 social networks, and we've launched our new Application: Superhero on Facebook and hi5, and have been getting a lot of interests, soon will be launching it on other social networks.

What's happening in 2009 for BuboMe? well so much more!
we are looking at a new design for BuboMe.com, changing the looks and feels.
We are also looking at launching more Apps.
Working with more social networks.
Adding more functionalities, including animated Bubos etc.

So much has happened and is happening on BuboMe!
First of all, we've launched BuboMe 2.0, with more photo functionalities:

1. Rotation
 Now you can even rotate your photos in any directions, 
 hold your mouse and drag to rotate it.

2. Brightness, Contrast and Hue/Saturation adjusting
 Now with brightness control, you can adjust the brightness of your photo,
 contrast and hue/saturation, all you need to do is hold your mouse down and
 drag the control bar to the left and right to adjust these settings.
 

The above are the 2 major functionalities that we've added to BuboMe, other features also include Stretch and Skew horizontally and vertically.

Besides adding new features and functionalities, we've also deployed BuboMe photo App to 2 more social networks: Hyves.net and Fanbox.com.
And we are happy to see BuboMe's traffic continue to reach new heights, has already passed the 1.5 million registered users mark (including App installs), and approaching 2 millions soon!

We are proud to annouce that BuboMe has passed the 1 million mark for registered users (including App installations). It is an important and great milestone for BuboMe.

So what have we been busy with for the last 2 months or so, here's a brief summary of the major improvement we have made to the site and our BuboMe App.

1. Server upgrade, we have added more servers to cope with the increasing traffic.
2. We've added a new friends invitation feature to BuboMe.com, including the ability to import contacts from email providers.
3. Added a new feature for using a photo to create a Buby by specifying its URL to our BuboMe Application.
4. Improved and re-designed the homepage.
5. We have launched our first BuboMe API, allows other developer or site owners to easily add BuboMe feature to their sites.
6. We've done some image optimization, to improve page loading speed.
7. Added a few more languages to BuboMe.com, now BuboMe speaks Portuguese, Spanish and Chinese.
8. Launched a new Theme category: Sports.

Hi All,
First of all, we are excited to see the traffic on BuboMe.com continues to soar, and it never stop climbing. So more visitors, more Bubos being created, more sharing and commenting, not to mention we've rolled out the commenting feature on all social networks that we deployed BuboMe to, and delighted to see it's being used extensively.

Yesterday we were busy rolling out the new AJAX slideshow on hi5 & Orkut, here we'd like to give credit to Aeron Glemann, who created such an amazing AJAX program.  

Lastly, we'd also like to mention a new great service provided by Bizak, launched this month, Bizak is a new website which helps entrepreneurs calculate the profitability of their business and connect with investors. Bizak automatically computes your earnings performance and then you can compare these calculations to other startups and industry benchmarks.  Additional information on the benchmarks computed can be found on their analysis page.

The long wait is over! We are so excited today to learn that BuboMe app has been selected and added to the Orkut® applicatoin directory for the India launch.

Tens of thousand of Indians from Orkut® installed BuboMe app on the 1st day of the launch! It is amazing.

We are also in the process of rolling out the new AJAX Bubo slideshow on profile pages, so stay tuned.

Thanks for visiting BuboMe! This blog is created in order to communicate improvements and changes, and in doing so to provide a bit more transparency to what we are doing everyday to make BuboMe happen.

Firstly, We've been very impressed with the recent traffic growth, thanks to all the Buboers out there.
It's amazing how popular BuboMe is becoming, traffic has been doubling and tripling in the last few months.

We have also been working very hard ever since the site launch, a lot of improvements have been made to the site:

2. Auto-suggest search box.
3. Server performance improvement.
4. Numerous bugs fixed.
